Not heard of a wax type, but there are quite a few film protection systems , here is another

the trouble is that they wont have a kit designed for my front bumper.

might just wrap the front end in clingfilm

I think you can get them custom cut, no problem. I thought long and hard about this one, Al.

It can look good, but it's tough to apply without dust & stuff getting trapped on application. Also, the cut off point can look a little odd. In the end I decided against it as it masks the paint a bit as well and will just get the front kit resprayed if needs must. I'm definitely not tracking mine, so it's not quite as crucial for me

They tend to keep their distance a bit with mine & they'll certainly see you coming

Main thing is incredibly slow on newly laid chippings and for the rest there's nothing you can do when you press the loud pedal with vengeance, it just happens. The worse place I've found is your own tyres kicking up stuff and marking the trim surrounding the arches either side of the rear wheel.

No consolation , but year before last after having the front bumper re-painted by Mike, shortly after went on The Champagne tour with Buster and a few of the old gang . well i can tell ya , after returning it looked like Buster had taken his shotgun to the front. Cant be helped and the only real option is to accept it is going to get stone chips.

True, either drive the car (What you've originally purchased it for) or have it sat on your drive looking pretty. No contest really.

    Oh yes, that chalk road....
I had a Glass fibre front bumper, white gel and undercoat, grey paint overcoat, every tiny stone mark shone out white like a ****ing beacon to all.

It's not too bad, Al if you're sensible when the condition of the road dictates it. Otherwise, just enjoy driving as usual

Remember Alan you cant cover it in anything for 2 months, that includes wax, sticky back film etc, the paint will still be breathing (solvent release) for that period, it may feel hard to the touch but covering it with anything will result it the paint blistering.
