    TEIN Experience

Looking for peoples opinions of either the following products as they are on my short list for selection.

    http://www.tein.co.uk/products/fpindex.html

    or

    http://www.tein.co.uk/products/fpindex.html

I already have my EDFC installed and waiting so the suspension has to be compatible.

    Cheers guys.

The links are both the same but i think you need Tein super streets with top mounts . RSP quoted me about £720 last year , i asked them to order me some but got fed up of chasing them.
    Now drives an Evo 6

    No more 11's

Ah right, the address doesn't change between the product menu and the actual product!

The kits I am interested in are either the TEIN Flex or Superstreet (With uppermounts).

ive got the type flex and there pretty darn good. i think ive got the japanese version though as they are quite harsh on bumpy roads but briliant round the corners.

Hi Ritchie,I've got superstreets which are fine.
I can't give a comparison with the std set up as my car had JIC's when I got it which were very low & very hard , hence the change.
Due to a mix up when I got mine I was offered the flex, but after having had rock hard suspension I was paranoid they'd be a tad too hard so went for the superstreets.
Not long after I was talking to a guy with a 34GTR at a local meet( he's actually in this months Jap Performance mag funnily enough) & he has the monoflex & say's they're fine for normal road use, ie not to firm, so I wish I'd gone for them.
I just get the feeling that the flex would be better if your are going to do alot of track & strip driving.
Perhaps you need some test drives at JAE

I've just had the Tein Super Street suspension put on and I'm very impressed, Richie. I was going for the Monoflex, but that is definitely more track orientated and would have been very similar to the Bilstein suspension I had before, which would have defeated the object.

I'd have to say the SS is the one to get for occasional track days and plenty of driving on the UK roads. The only other thing to note about my current set up is that I've got custom made rose jointed front tie rod bushes, which are going to make the ride a little less forgiving than poly. or nismo bushes anyway. I think mine came in at around the £850 with mark including laser alignment and corner weighting. On a recent test drive my old importer friend, Mathew Davey said the suspension, handling and balance of my car was the best he'd come across in a Skyline bar none

Had Tein Super Street with upper mounts on mine for the past year and a half now. They are like a breath of fresh air compaired to my old JIC Magic coilovers, which were so hard they use to rattle your fillings out. The SS are perfect for these crappy UK roads and give the balance between a nice ride and good handling whilst lowering your car.

Can only praise and recommend them minty.
