Nismo key arrived from the US today.
Looks legit in terms of packaging and construction, but we'll see.
Has same length and girth (oo-er) as normal key, so I'll find a place to get it cut and let you know if it worked.

If you look "end on" to the key (as if you were going to poke your eye)You will see that the original key is a "Z" shape as you look down the flutes. If your new key is the same, it might be OK

Jobs for tomorrow:
1) Off to Knight Racer to get Boost Controller set-up sorted
2) Fit carbon cover for engine
3) Check the head unit's mp3 socket works with my zen player
4) Order some red SFS radiator hoses
Think that's quite enough for one day!

lovely motor ! colour and bodykit go so nice together.
Popped along to Knight Racer today to get the Boost Controller set properly.
Whilst they were doing that they found the a/c belt was loose. Got it on the ramps and found this culprit lying loose in the bottom of the engine tray.
It's the pulley for the air con belt.
It's so badly twisted it couldn't be put back on, so they cut the belt for it so that at least it's okay to drive and the belt won't fly off and damage something else.
The belt is a UK one and was changed by Newera upon import as part of the service. Having only driven circa 800 miles it can't have been secured properly.
Whe the pulley flew of it has chipped the crank pulley, which is okay for now - but not perfect.
So my next job is to get Newera to sort it, as I'm £40 out of pocket for today and need new parts and labour to rectify the a/c.
On the positive side, at least it was spotted before it caused more serious damage.

Thats a very nice, very rare car there.
I noticed you mentioned
What is it with the Japanese, how do they make such a mess of those uprights.
I have the same problem and it looks like quite a bit of dismantling to get them off for spraying, would be interested to know what your planned approach is. They appear to be a darker gray painted on, mine is quite bad some probably needs the full sanding, filling, painting to get it looking right.
I am also currently replacing all of my surrounds because somebody painted them metalic blue and then silver and they now look a bit rubbish.
