    Cool Nurburg Ring Trip 2008

    Hi All,

To make sure we are in good time, we are going to get the ball rolling on the 2008 Trip ealier than normal.

We are looking at July / August 2008 (To be confirmed once Nurburg Ring announce Public dates early 2008)

The Trip will be a long weekend, with an Early Start on the Friday morning, arriving back in the uk around 1900 on the Monday.
We sail from Dover to Dunkirk and back.

As always this trip is not designed as the cheapest possible trip, but more of a luxury effort, as we stay in a 4 Star hotel at the bottom of the mountains, which is fully loaded in terms of Spa, Gym, Pool, Massage, 24 Hour Room Service. A Fully loaded fried, each as much as you like breakfast is included in the price by the hotel, and the food in the evening is excellent. Oh, the Nurburg Ring is about a 15 minute drive away too

There is Go-Karting, Museums, DTM and plenty of other things to do in the area, so freel free to bring lady friends along

Costwise, you are looking at approx the following based on 2 sharing, so divide the the following by 2 for an approx each cost.
the hotel can cater for rooms for 2,3,4 or 5 people, so let me know if there is an odd number of you.

We expect to be able to start confirming up details Early in 2008, when we will have to pay the Hotel a deposit to confirm our rooms, which is normally about £50 per person.

Add your names to the below (I will ask for your email address by PM), we are going to stop at about 40 people, otherwise its too much to handle...

    1. Moff + Mrs Moff
    2. Garth + Lisa (MGT Racing)
    3. SPR + Mrs SPR

    I'm excited already...

    Morning all

On the last trip, I got hold of (digital) copies of everyone's footage & made up a 2 DVD set, which seems to have got the thumbs up. I'll do the same again next year, if anyone's interested. Bear in mind you're not allowed to take any photographic kit onto the Ring, so anything you do take is at your own risk.

That's the DVD sleeve from this years' one.
Point being, if you aree going to film stuff, make sure a) the audio's properly set up b) you can stabilise the camera (physically, not digitally) using a mount or somesuch. They might ban you for the day if they see you though, so gently does it.

    Cheers

Those prices would vary Gareth seeing as it's a while before the trip is planned but unless the arse falls out of the British Pound or the Euro don't expect the prices to stray to far from.....

    8 lap ticket £93.81

I can understand that the British Pound to the Euro can very form time to time but it helps to know ruffly how much it will cost to around the ring

Whats the deal with taking a car on a trailer to public days? Does the car need to be road legal too?

Officially the car has to be road legal, but it seems to be 'if it looks road legal' you are ok looking at some of the stuff that goes round there !!!!!!

What are you thinking Bryn ?
