In-depth Inspection by our team & taken on a test run. We took this for a drive blast and it is safe to say that all is working as it should Excellent throttle response, she has high cams but idle is fairly smooth. The engine pulls strongly like a train at top end. The turbo really kicks in at around 5,000RPM and flys to the red line!! The power is just immense, it literally tries to tear itself from the road. She Handles like on rails ! largely due to the Hicas removal bar in order to allow greater driver control.. The engine is amazing in it's performance and sound. At idle a menacing although stable and deep sound is emitted from the exhaust. The sound this GTR produces on idle is intoxicicating and deep... give the throttle a blip for a wicked rasping roar.

Oil pressure is very healthy from cold and also once warmed up. Oil pressure gauge is 5kg/cm2 upon start up, and a nice constant 3kg/cm2 during idle, 8kg/cm2 @ 4000rpm sign of a good healthy engine. Having such high oil pressure indicates that modifications have been geared towards increasing oil flow and pressure to ensure that everything stays happy under high load. Oil is nice and clean.

Boost is set at 1.1 bar. water temp 70c. Oil Temp 85c. Although very cold day in Japan. Loads of power on tap and easily feels like its good for over 550 circa bhp with current spec, just above 5,000 revs when the TO4R turbo comes on strong to give a very nice urgent pull to the engine. Torque builds up well and gives a push into the back of the seat feeling that every respectable high performance sports coupe should deliver. The throttle response on the GTR is mind blowing, right through the rev range.... hit the throttle and straight away you notice very crisp clean acceleration and then start to feel the torque quickly building up to massive grin inducing levels. Gear box feels in good condition, smooth with no notches or sync issues.
Engine management is provided by an Apexi unit. The Power FC proudly stands as A'PEX's answer to the constraints ! effectively altering the standard factory settings to allow to push the RB engine with higher boost settings than the normal 0.95-1.0 bar, in conjunction with the boost controller.. The fuelling is taken care of, controlled by the Apexi PFC fed though TS injectors and uprated fuel pump. Settings are currently 1.2 bar, feels good for 500 BHP +. to release the awesome potential of the RB26 engine. Judging by the set up of improved cooling modifications, uprated internals and turbo spec, higher boost should be capable of 550 BHP+ FUN. Tomei AFR gauge/ GReddy Boost gauge and EGT gauge are tastefully located in carbon look glove box pod to allow the driver to keep on eye on the vitals.

A HKS induction kit for improved breathing, intercooler pipe work is aluminium, which copes better under heat and pressure than the soft hose. Air sucked in though HKS POWER induction feed the MASSIVE HKS TO4R single turbo with external wastegate via uprated air flow meters into the massive intercooler which keeps the air as cool as possible then into the engine. Temps are kept low with large oil cooler, radiator, raditor hoses. Gases are then passed though down pipe and full exhaust system. Oil catch tank separates good oil from used. Headgasket, degree cams, adjustable cam pulleys, power uprated timing belt, injectors, Fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, large capacity alloy radiator, induction kits with cold air shroud, Greddy hard pipe kit, down pipes, stainless steel exhaust, oil cooler, front mounted intercooler, triple plate clutch, ... A VERY IMPRESSIVE SPEC.. There is likely to be much more hidden internal engine tuning..

Pansport alloys are very rare !!! light weight and strong, worth £500 a corner in Japan rapped round Dunlop Tyres in good condition. To aid high speed stability and overall road handling, expensive Bilstein suspension has been implemented for a firmer ride, more accurate and responsive steering.

Later (98+) style Xenon front headlights.

    TURBO TIMER INCORPERATED IN ALARM

Why on earth would you want to go from a car like that to standard one?
