    Cool My Dyno Results

    Hi All,

    Sorry for the delay.

    Right, here are the results.

    @ 0.7bar

    Peak Power 310.4 BHP @ 6068Revs @Hubs
    Peak Torque 293.4 lb/ft @ 4963 Revs @ Hubs

I was looking for a car biased toward being the track, and Garth has done that beautifully.

The boost was set to 0.8, although the poor old standard turbo started running out of puff about the point of peak torque at around 5000 revs. Peak BHP was actually as the boost was dropping off and was hit at 0.7bar.

I highly recommend Garth @ MGT Racing (http://www.mgt-racing.com/) to map your car, not only did I have a great day but before the mapping commenced, he took the time to speak to me about what was the car predominantly going to be for, what was I looking for and what did I expect. I sat in the car for the whole duration of the mapping in the Dyno Cell they have, and was talked through the process, amazing how these guys map cars.

Although the car was hitting more BHP running leaner, more fuelling was added, as don't forget this is still the original engine I have been hammering abour for the last 4 years (which I'm amazed at) so anything to help
it last a little longer is good in my book...

As for the drive home, wow, what a completely different car, response is more than rapid, and the cams make full boost by 2500 and torque rocket to just under 280BHP by just under 3000 (plus I managed to collect 3
    Shell V-Power cars yesterday )

Here are the Dyno Graphs, would welcome comments.

I can't forget to thank Mark too for helping, especially for the drive in his rather rapido 560 BHP ATH R32 GTR Time Attack car, and the lovely Lisa for the coffees and sandwiches

    A very happy Moffy

Roll on 26th April, this years first track day....

yup, but I would have had about another 600bhp if the turbo had stayed at 0.8 bar..

Me 'n' the turbo will have words about it having a semi towards the end...
