Arrow Info on the different Skyline models

ATTESA etc and what they mean

Two Phased Tacho Meter

Only BNR34 GTR V-spec has this type of taco meter.
Scale distance between 0rpm and 3000rpm is narrower than it of 3000rpm onwards.
This design is aim at improving recognition of rev figures in the high revs.
Furthermore, the response of the meter itself has been improved.

ATTESA E-TS

Four wheel drive control system that evoluted since BNR32 till BNR34.
Since BNR32 GTR, all the GTRs have the ATTESA E-TS, torque split four wheel drive system, which is electorically controlled to maximumize the performance of all of the four wheels.
Even based on natural handling of FR(Front engine and Rear Drive) car, this system provides ideal torque balance betweeen front and rear wheels with accurate corresponding to changing surface and driving condition.
ATTESA E-TS split front and rear torque from Fr:Rr=0%:100% to Fr:Rr=50%:50%.

RB26DETT Engine

Engine of BNR34, BCNR33 and BNR34 GTR and GTR V-spec.
This engine overwhelmed any other cars when BNR32 GTR debuted in 1989.
It was not miracle because Nissan desiged every single components of this engine to make BNR32 GTR be ever-victorious model in the Group A Race Series in Japan.
Deserving special mentiononly, S20 and RB26DETT have such a genuine pedigree in Japanese automobile history.
Of course, S20 engine is the one which first generation of GTR used.
This RB26DETT engine has high potential to achieve more than 500ps even in the N1 race cars which there are not so many room to modify the engine, and the potential and performance of this engine is proved by numberless of victories in the race scene.
The potential of the engine has been improved by evolution of the model of BNR32, BCNR33 and BNR34.

Active LSD

Standard equipment on BNR34 GTR V-spec.
BNR34 GTR V-spec's Active LSD is the ultimate Limited Slip Diff which works realtime with the information from various sensors on the vehicle.
It improves the slipping limit of inside wheel, and gain much better traction performance.
Furthermore, by integrated control of Active LSD and ATTESA E-TS, ideal power for each wheel is delivered, and it maximumize the stability and high traction performance.

Adjustable Rear Spoiler

BCNR33 GTR has single flap adjustable rear spoiler, and BNR34 GTR and GTR V-spec have double flap adjutable rear spoiler.
Rear spoiler controls lift of rear section of the car, and bigger wing area provides inclease downforce but increase air registance at the same time.
BNR34 GTR adjustable rear spoiler solve this problem with using two separated wings which has one fixed main spoiler and one adjustable flap spoiler.
BCNR33 GTR has adjutable one main rear spoiler.

Getrag 6-speed Gearbox

Standard equipment on BNR34 GTR and GTR V-spec.
To deliver RB26DETT performance fully to the wheels, Nissan and Getrag developed the close ratio 6-speed Manual Gearbox for BNR34 GTR.
It has 1.000 gear ratio at 5th speed.
This seamless power delivery at changing gears improves not only the car performance but also driving pleasure.
6th speed gear is basically for high speed cruising, and it is 10% higher gear ratio compared with BCNR33's 5th gear.

Diffuser

Standard equipment on BNR34 GTR V-spec.
This front and rear diffuser compresses and rectify the under body air flow, and it difuse at the flapped end of rear diffuser.
This mechanism provide sufficient downforce to make the car stable on the high speed driving.
Rear diffuser is made of carbon fibre.

Nur.

It means renowned track, Nurburgring in Germany.
Nurburgring Nordschleife has over 20kms a lap, more than 180 corners with a lot of blind corners and 300m undulations between lowest and highest place.
Nissan started testing GTR since 1988 and evolution has continued BNR32, BCNR33 and BNR34 series.

Brembo Brakes

Standard equipment on BNR32 GTR V-specII, BCNR33, BNR34 GTR and GTR V-spec.
Prestige brake make from Italy.
GTR uses Brembo ventilated disc brake systems for front and rear brakes.

Multi Function Display (MFD)

Standard equipment on BNR34 GTR and GTR V-spec.
This system is 5.8 inch LCD display located on dashboard, and shows 7 categories (9 categories on GTR V-spec) of information. You can see sufficient information ie boost pressure, oil temp, throttle, injector duty, intake temp and exhaust temp with this display.

Mono-form Bucket Seat

Same design between BNR34 GTR and BCNR33 GTR, and Nissan revised the part of shoulder support and side support for BNR34 GTR.
With excellent reputation of the BNR32 GTR standard seats, there was a huge demand to have the same seats on BCNR33 GTR and Nissan continued to use the same design seats for BCNR33..
BNR34 GTR seats have bigger shoulder and side supports due to increased G-force with improved cornering performance.
