Deggers dyno results after MGT Racing mapping :)

Just thought I would post my graphs.

For the last year I have been suffering constant misfire problems on boost and 120miles to a tank around town without being able to put my foot down. The car was also mapped on 98ron Optimax.

Needless to say the reason why I havent probably been on here that often is that my heart hasnt been in it with a Skyline that can be outrun by my mum in her diesel Focus estate!

So, I decided to book the car in at MGT Racing for the first time and set off at 6:30am from Leeds and got to Garth and Lisa's at 8:30am.

I had filled the car with BP Ultimate the day before as I had decided to have the car mapped on 97RON instead of Optimax as most of the Shells around my neck of the woods have change to BP anyway.

So, down to MGT and I Garth asked me about the history of the mods and what had been done and what boost pressures I was running. All I know is that on Lo the profec b2 boosted to 12psi and high was over 20psi.

Garth did some test runs on the dyno and was suprised to see it boosting at 1.6bar and.... I am running stock head gasket!! Garth made it clear that at 1.6bar the head gasket needed changing and asked me how I wanted him to map the car..... I decided that we should reset everything and start with a clean slate.

There were a couple of problems along the way but the end result was that within an hour Garth and fixed the misfire and mapping started.

I was running 398 at the FLY, Shell Optimax (98), 1.6bar boost, misfires and all sorts kicking off.

Im now running 348 at the HUBS, 97 RON (Ultimate), 1bar boost, no misfires and it feels quicker than it has for a long time and my Skyline Smile has instantly returned!

So lower octane, lower boost, safer engine, no misfires, better fuel economy and probably the same power at the wheels

Next job - Head Gasket next year methinks

HKS 2535

I was under the impression that at 400bhp at the fly this was on its limt.

However, now Im told with the power its making at the hubs on 1bar that it'll go further once the head gaskets changed.

But as the girlfriend said when I got home the head gasket can wait and I should be happy at what I have for the time being

She talks sense lol

Cheers mate - yes I am more than happy at the moment.

Current spec list is.

Apexi induction, Sard 550cc injectors, Splitfires, Walbro Fuel Pump, Autobahn888 FMIC
Apexi Power FC, Profec B2
HKS 2535 Turbo, Japspeed manifold, HKS Turbo Elbow, NISMO downpipe to a decat and St.May exhaust system.

I did have a mondeo thing up my backside on the M1 who came up behind me flashing his lights and indicator for me to get out of his way.. so dropped it into 4th and....... adios!...didnt see him again... lol

Mines not a Shotgun or straight-through or loud or have the same style tailpipe as that one... not sure which St.May mine is but it does have a nice grumbly sporty sound whilst not being 100db loud... you would have to hear it. - Its JASMA approved.

I have thought a few times about selling it or swapping it for a Japspeed with a bung just to pee off the neighbours.

My st may has a square back box similar to the Veilside below.

Funnily enough I found my original for sale thread before i changed my mind about selling it.

St.May (JASMA Approved) Exhaust System *as new*
