RC Developments R35 GTR

RC Developments will be entering an R35 GTR into Time Attack Club Challenge this weekend at Oulton Park. it will be the first appearance for the R35 in UK motor sport.

The car is completely stock aside from Toyo Tyres, it will be great to see how it performs on the track against highly modified track cars. Clive Seddon (who drives the day-glow Yellow RC Evo ) will be driving.

I hope they paint it a nice bright colour instead of boring silver that everyone seems to be choosing

I think they like the understated look. Their Evo's are quite dull.

From GTROC:

Quote:
Quick update live from Race Control at Oulton Park today, the event is still running as I type, Skyline times as follows :

Pro Class :

Ron Kiddell : 1.33.97 ( Pro 8th ranking )

Club Challenge Class :

Shane Smith R32 GTR : 1.34.415 ( currently 2nd place ranking )
Mark Biggers R32 GTR : 1.36.574 ( currently 7th place ranking )
Clive Seddon R35 GTR : 1.37.510 ( currently 11th place ranking )
Julian Lycett R32 GTR : 1.38.624 ( currently 16th place ranking )
Dave Wilkins R32 GTR : 1.41.467 ( currently 22nd place ranking )
Fee Muir R23 GTR : 1.41.654 ( currently in 23rd place ranking )
Paul West R33 GTS : 1.43.839 ( currently in 30th place ranking )
John Begley R32 GTR : 1.45.662 ( currently in 34th place ranking )

So the R35 is working well and good to see some comparisons so far, worth noting its on Toyo T1R's and a stock car with most other cars running Toyo R888 semi slicks ( not I am not 100% sure on how isnt running T1R so dont take it as gospel just yet )

It happened in the Time Attack Series 1st - making history - the first time a new GTR ran in competition in Europe.....

More times and updates will be available later : Welcome - Time Attack UK

Just pushed ' send and Clive went past and ran a 1.37.00 !!!!

Not bad at all for a stock GTR, all depends on driver abilities etc to take in account Good time so far!

The car looked great today, they had to run crap tyres (T1R's)compared to the other cars due to no 888's being available in the right size so the results are even more impressive.

One thing I found weird is that it sounded so bloody quiet, although it was obviously a quick car it just didn't sound right, especially in the company of the other Time Attack cars.

Will post some pics soon

Certainly impressive for a stock road car
