Time for a new motor methinks...

As the title says..... It looks like I'll be changing car in the near future, and I'm after some wisdom/help.

I'm probably going to have a budget of about 10K, I could go higher but would rather not.

What I want to do is buy an R32 GTR. From what I've seen advertised for sale in the past 6 months 9-10K should get me a half decent, fairly modified example, correct?

Seeing as I'm living back in scotland now though, I could do with some fellow northerners pointing me in the direction of garages they know which sell jap imports (obviously I'm looking on the forums too), and any places to avoid as well.

As for my current motor, R32 GTST, It's needing some cosmetic work before its saleworthy so I guess it won't be getting smacked with the trade-in stick, but you never know!


Also considering a late 80's corvette Sucker for the yank tanks but I think in all reality I'll get a GTR

I think its got to be the GTR really.... having spent 45 mins this morning trying to get out of my car park in a foot of snow I've decided I definitely want to go down the 'sort of 4wd' route... Plus, i'd be mad to buy a 6 litre motor to run about daily in......
