Got ya, so more for the ECU`s benefit than for more air.

I'd tend to disagree mate as I've seen big single GTR's with only one big intake. The apexi pfc could surely be mapped for only one AFM. Could it not?

Thought it might be because the two sensors are tied into the ECU. Supose one could be made redundant by shorting it, curious now.

But its not the stock ECU, its an Apexi PFC. I'm sure someone will put us right soon enough.

The Power FC like the standard ecu uses AFM's to measure the air flow. They have a voltage range of 0-5 volts. If you use 1 AFM to measure the air flow then it means that the calibration of the AFM will be a lot bigger than two AFM's.

example; if the engine requires 1000 cubic ft of air and you use 1 afm it means that the voltage change will be 200 cubic ft per volt.
If you use 2 AFM's then each AFM will need to flow 500 cubic ft which means 100 cubic ft per volt.

hope this helps.

Floyd

The side skirts are really cool. Underneath they almost go halfway across the car. Must be for aerodynamic purposes. I'll get some pics up to show you what I'm on about.
