Tyre wear question from Newbie

Hi all,

Just a quick question.

Have been to look at a GTST today and have promised to buy but I thought I had better double check something first.

I had a look at the tyre and saw that the drivers side tyre had excessive wear on the inside, can anyone advise on what would cause this, all the others were fine.

Thanks in advance.

Mal

Adverse camber.

Check to see if after market suspension has been fitted or just one shock absorber has been changed due to an accident.

It could be (if front) that the tie rod is bent, due to kerbing putting the tracking out.

Thanks for that, the guy says it is a completely standard car. Sorry for the next stupid question but am not mechanically minded at all lol, where do I look for the tie rod?

Turn the steering wheel one way full lock. See the rod that attaches to the wishbone. It will have a bush on it and an adjustable thread and locking nut.

If you post up the specs, model and mileage with asking price people will give you a view on how sensible it sounds.

Doesn't seem too out of sorts with asking prices, but still worth checking around and trying a couple out
