DB-Powers big brake group buy

Hi Guys

As I have launched one on the SXOC it seems only fair to introduce it to here

As prompted, it's about time for another Big Brake Kit group buy.

A little information about my big brake kits, all of my brake kits use only the best discs, this is why we have now chosen Brembo as our sole new supplier. Lets face it they do make the braking systems for most of the top car marques i.e. Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Mercedes. We have sold more than 200 of our brake kits to date, and are more than happy with the feedback and results.

Most of our brake kits utilise the standard Nissan 4 pot calipers, and work on the basis of extra leverage equals extra braking force. Larger discs help generate this extra leverage and also help disperce heat more quickly too; this reduces pad fade and boiling brake fluid
Those seeking extra braking power, or if your standard Nissan calipers are getting tired, may want to consider our Wilwood kits
Wilwood have been making brake parts since 1977, so with over 30 years of experience they are definately a name you can trust.
Our Wilwood calipers are made from lightweight aluminium and the pistons are made from Stainless Steel to reduce corrosion.

Prices will be the following regardless of quantity:-

  • 315mm plain kit £160 (Brembo discs)
  • 315mm grooved kit £205 (Brembo discs)
  • 330mm plain kit £220 (Brembo discs)
  • 330mm grooved kit £245 (Brembo discs)
  • 345mm plain kit £230 (Brembo discs)
  • 345mm grooved kit £255 (Brembo discs)
  • Wilwood 330mm plain kit £480 (inc pads, hoses, brackets etc) (Brembo discs)
  • Wilwood 330mm grooved kit £500 (inc pads, hoses, brackets etc) (Brembo discs)
  • Wilwood 345mm plain kit £520 (inc pads, hoses, brackets etc) (Brembo discs)
  • Wilwood 345mm grooved kit £540 (inc pads, hoses, brackets etc) (Brembo discs)

  • Big Foot brake kit £820 (inc redstuff pads, hoses, brembo 360mm discs, huge 6 pot BREMBO calipers and brackets etc).

  • Big Foot brake kit £880 (inc redstuff pads, hoses, brembo 360mm GROOVED discs, huge 6 pot BREMBO calipers and brackets etc).

The huge brembo calipers will be black, but I will get a price on powder coating them

Rear Options:-
  • 322mm drilled/grooved rear brake kit(includes discs, brackets, bolts etc) £180

Along with the above prices you can also add any of the following at a discounted pirce:-

R33 GTS-T, R32 GTR, R32 GTS-T rear drilled/grooved discs £75

R33 GTS-T, R32 GTR, R32 GTS-T rear plain discs £68 (Brembo discs)

As with normal group buy rules, deposits will be required and can be paid for by following the link here:- DB-Power

The groupbuy will end on the 14th of August.

Brake kits will need to be paid in full by this date. Once payment has been recieved then your kit will be organised and posted. Most products will be in stock but some may take a couple of weeks depending on stock levels.

As per normal if everyone can form a list like the the following example:-

1:- Dan@DB-Power. 330mm Grooved kit, + Larger redstuffs, Hoses and BMC stoppper.
2:- A-Member. Wilwood 330mm plain kit.
3:- etc

hi dan, how is this group buy going to work, are the prices listed based on say selling 10kits, or does the price come down as more people pay their deposits etc?

spoke to you before about the 330 kit, the 345 kit should fit a 17" rim too shouldnt it?
Wilwood 330mm grooved kit £500 (inc pads, hoses, brackets etc) (Brembo discs)
Wilwood 345mm grooved kit £540 (inc pads, hoses, brackets etc) (Brembo discs)

Is full payment required on 14th Aug or deposits?

Hi Guys

Al_star, sorry chap it won't work with any of the Brembo calipers

Chipper, as you have 17" wheels, I don't sell a kit which will benefit over the Brembo calipers, the Wilwoods are on par with them but aren't an upgrade, and the 6 piston Brembo's won't fit under 17" wheels

Nigel, Glad you like them chap and they are doing you proud

Chico King, I haven't actually tested them with GTT calipers, but I have a bracket which will work for you, you'll only be able to use the 345mm discs though

Rich B, The prices listed are no matter what quantity of kits are sold, so in essence it's not really a groupbuy but more of a sale The 345mm wilwood kit will fit under certain 17" wheels, if you have a picture of your wheels I'll be able to advise better When the group buy ends full payment will be required and your kit will be sent out asap depending on stock levels

Also just to clarify that none of the above kits will work with the Brembo calipers, they are really designed for the Nissan 4/2 pots

Hope this helps
Dan

Rich ,

Bearing in mind our experiences when fitting Nigel S's 345mm kit i would say thats going to be tight , might not fit even with spacers.

any way you could meet up with Nigel S and perhaps try your wheels on his car???

is it the caliper clearance against the spokes or the rim itself thats the issue?
Roughly theres about 15mm between caliper and spokes.

Its the caliper on the spokes , the caliper is obviously much further forward and it looks like your spokes go in closer to the disc where they meet the rim

yes we had some fun getting mine to fit as my spokes curv in near the rim
we had to make some ajustments hear and there ( With a dremal) and i had some 3mm wheel spacers made up but the calipers are still close to the spokes my wheels are 18" wolf race shark wheels so in theary thay should of fitted but it did take a bit of feteling to get the wheels back on but i am happy with the way thay stop the car
