All R33 GTST's are Type M.

It means nothing and it certainly doesn't mean 'Motorsport'.

That is the million dollar question!!

In a lot of Japanese user forums for the car they say that because type M came with a turbo the M represented a Motorsports version of the vehicle. Nissan must have classified the project someway when it was on the drawing board and took that letter from some essence of the project.

Motorsport eh?

I guess the huge brakes they come with as stock, the 16" wheels and the kind of suspension that wouldn't look out of place on an off-road vehicle really complement that meaning.

Not sure.. But that turbo sure does! It was a huge market success with the motorsport crowd here. And around the world now too!

Thumbs up hello im new!

. i know in my profile it says i drive an mr2, please dont hate me though. i have just registered to this site to learn more about the skyline that i am hopefully getting. i have read a few threads and have read a load of advice, a lot through gordon (thanks it was most usefull). i have the same question tom i believe. i have a 1994 skyline gtst type m coming in from japan and wandered what difference it made. i know that it has already been said that there is none, in which case what do they have? eg variable valve timing, hicas, l.s.d? and what would a clean one in black with gtr kit be worth over here. 75000 miles? any help would be much apprieciated! tha
