Spanish air crash.

Bubble and myself have just sat here and seen breaking news of this crash at Madrid airport. At the moment there are conflicting reports on the numbers dead and injured. One report says the plane had a problem, was recalled, checked and then allowed to take off. See here...

Our thoughts are with all those involved.

News reports (Reuters) now say it's confirmed from the Spanish government that 45 passengers onboard are dead and 19 seriously injured There are still many conflicting reports from different sources at the moment, but it does seem the total will rise unfortunately.

Bubble and myself are watching sky news and we've just seen some survivors put into ambulances on drips etc. The latest news confirms that the plane had previously tried to take off and has crashed on it's second attempt.
Sky news have been showing photos of the left engine on take off with thick black smoke coming out the back.

Sad day, condolences to the bereaved .

Never any good news when it comes to planes.

Very sad news to hear people have died and many injured

Whats even worse it that the plane was stopped and checked and they gave it the go ahead to fly. On the way back from America one of the engines was chucking out white smoke (flying with BA)

Very sad news I can never help feeling that whenever i fly away on holiday,i hope that if we have to crash it happens on the way back(after i've at least had a holiday) and not on the way out

terrible news. really sorry for all involved and also for selfish reasons as i am flying off on my 1st foreign hol in 2 weeks. was cacking myself enough as it was without hearing this! to make matters worse i'm going to turkey - yup, right next to georgia! i'm well aware that there's a far greater chance of any one of us to die behind the wheel of our sensibly driven liners but hey, 'happy holidays' ay?!
