well as you guys know this misfire has been on for 3000 miles no but only on higher boost levels. we have changed the ign amp, regapped plugs to .6/.8/1.0mm no joy, fitted a hks twin power amp, removed splitfires and fitted std coils that helped, spoke to tweenierob today and its possible that the afr,s are going into the 10,s on full boost which in his eyes would cause misfires at high boost as the rb,s dont like much more than 11.6-8 afr,s also we could not boost more than 1.9 bar, even with the avcr at 90% duty, so we piped the wastegate up direct and it went to 2.4 bar, it appears the spring is to weak and as i have a spare stiffer one will need to fit that now.. but if anyone has any othe ideas please reply on this thread.

p.s did a compression test as the motor has done 4000 miles now and all six cylinders were 150psi give or take 2 psi..

With what you've rightly tried the wastegate spring is too weak.

We have a GT4094 on a 2litre Evo, it is an amazing turbo, believe it or not the Evo makes boost at roughly the same time as yours! Cam choice does a lot for this.

We usually upgrade to CDI ignitions as the std stuff is normally way out of its league at these levels especially with high rpm
