looks good but can i just remind you of this??
So i got to thinking about the reasons why i decided to sell up, the main reason was the cars lack of use, this was entirely due to the fact i couldn't drive it anywhere with speed humps or uneven roads because of the low front bumper, also i wouldn't take it out in the rain due to the shiny engine bay.
So i decided to get a car that i could drive fast, drive anywhere and still could go to the shows in and use all year round..... so i got this....
shiny engine bay and off the road for the winter already![]()
Now drives an Evo 6
No more 11's
I knew this would come up.....
The thing is with this engine bay though is i'm having it painted rather than polished (except for the hardpipes) so it will be easier to keep clean, because the Skyline was mostly polished it was a nightmare and if you left any water on the polished surfaces then they just went tarnished - that my excuse anyway....
I just can't help myself, i get very restless and money burns a big hole in my pocket...
I love my car..... my wife and my daughter, not necessarily in that order !!!
now i've got a 4wd car....
Hi again folks, an update :
I fitted my catch tank today and all the rest of the hoses i'd bought. I used braided hose for the catch tank and anodised hose finishers.
I put a little logo on the intercooler too....
99% finished in the engine bay now, just got to get some bonnet lifters and Ralliart Oil and Rad cap. Also got to fit all new hose clamps on all hoses as they are all rubbish and I binned most of em, having those Mikalor ones..
Fitted the lower intercooler pipe from the turbo that I had made at powerflow exhausts, this removed the restriction in the standard pipe (crap pictures :mad2: )....
THIS WAS THE BIT THAT I HAD CUT OUT.....TURBO WILL SPOOL UP FASTER NOW....
Front and rear bumper lower splitters are away for painting, as soon as they come back then the front bumper and headlights will be fitted and its ready for the road....![]()
looking forward to driving it again....
cheers
Andy.

I just noticed this thread.Cracking car Andy I really like Evo's. There's some difference already in the short time you've had the car. Looks fantastic mate.
The white is so much brighter looking after you cleaned it.
Any chance I could leave my car with you for a few weeks?![]()

Its been a while and the car is finally ready for the road again, its all back together and ready to be MOT'd and taxed, I had the front and rear bumper splitters painted as they were a bit scuffed.
(front number plate will be changed for the MOT).
The front splitter i had the centre section painted black to compliment the carbon bonnet.
Also fitted the fog light covers - i love the look of them....
I also fitted my white LED sidelight bulbs and my HID 6000k Hi/Lo kit.
Also had the rear spoiler blade painted satin black....
I'll take some better pics of the whole car tomorrow in the daylight.
cheers

There is no such thing as cynicism, it is merely realism born out of experience.
