Exclamation Apexi Power FC Users

Saw this on another forum and it is a really good idea, if I still had a power FC I would definitely get one

Extension Cable for the Apexi Power FC Commander

I am selling some brand new extension cables that fit the Apexi Power FC Commander unit. When connected to the ECU, these allow you to plug and unplug your commander in the glove box. Making it possible to change your Rev limit, then disconnect and remove your Commander easily. No need to pull out parts of you dash to reach the Ecu! They have markings on the connectors that line up with the markings on the Power FC and on the Commander unit. The connectors light up green and flash when in use.

Security. This means that you can immobilise your car by changing the Rev limiter to 500rpm (not enough for your engine to start.) on the commander unit, then disconnect the commander easily from your glove box, and take it away with you.

If somebody was to steal/find your keys, they could not even drive the car away without first plugging in a commander unit and changing the Rev limit.

Valet Mode. When you leave you car at a garage, you can once again easily reduce your Rev limit so that there are enough revs to move your car without the mechanic being able to test pilot your car.

How to adjust your Rev limit. From the main menu (Monitor – Setting –Etc.) Arrow down to Setting, press Next. Down arrow to Rev Limit, press Next. Important, make a note somewhere of your maximum revs, as your Ecu may not be mapped beyond this point. Right arrow to highlight the amount of revs. Then down arrow until you reach the desired amount. Press Back button until you are on the main menu again.

Price. Each extension cable is £10. You can buy an original item from Apexi, however they cost considerably more and they have to be posted from overseas.

Postage and Packing. All cables come in jiffy bags. Price of postage is £1.99 to the UK and Northern Ireland. Please email me if you live outside of this. A reduced postage rate can be done for multiple amounts, please contact me for a quotation.

Payment. I can be paid through Paypal. Please email or PM me with your order and I will send you payment details.

Contact. You can email me; PFC_Cables@hotmail.com

Returns. All cables are checked before posting out, so there is no return policy on this item.

Disclaimer. It is important that you check your maximum rev limit that is shown on your commander before changing it. DO NOT SET YOUR MAXIMUM REVS ABOVE THIS POINT. If you set your revs above the point where your Ecu has been mapped, YOU WILL RUIN YOUR ENGINE. It is down to you to make a note of your maximum rev limit. I will not be held responsible for any problems that arise with your Ecu, engine or car. (This is only an extension cable after all!)
I am not a business. I am only helping people with a power FC to save money and take advantage of using the commander as an immobiliser.

********NOTE THIS IS NOT ME SELLING THEM - JUST POINTING YOU ALL IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION********

handy trick PowerFC owners use when they take car in for a service/work to be done they set the rev limit to 3000rpm and remove the hand controller. .This prevents the workshop from taking your car out for a fang on the roads and driving it like they've stolen it as the PowerFC will cut the power at the 3000rpm rev limit interrupting the joy experienced by the joy rider of your precious car. This would be useful at panel beaters, car cleaners, stereo installers etc. This would not suitable for a performance workshop cos if they are tuning your car or fixing a problem they may need to actually rev it out so use this wisely. Another unofficial mod is instead of buying the official PowerFC hand controller extension cord is to use a normal Ps2 extension cord used for a normal PC computer. Its the same cable you just need to break off one of the pins.

sorry if its a repost
