Prostock Racing BNR34 Time Attack Skyline

Time for another poll, and my oh my you'll be loving this one

It’s the Prostock Racing BNR34 Time Attack car. And, uhm…, it’s red and looks fast.
However it hasn’t been a Tsukuba yet, so no comparison. But the guys from Prostock Racing are pretty confident.
According to Dino they didn’t want to compete at Tsukuba because they weren’t sure they would win first place.
This year they think they are ready. Talk about dedication!

Anyway enough of the waffle; check this out, vote on the poll and discuss

    Oh and it's MEGA clean!

    Snow plough?

I thought that was to aid maintenance. One technician standing on it and working on the engine while the car was up in the air on a hoist and another working underneath it

Interesting the way that they have moved the engine both lower and back and the intercooler position.

I think it will probably overheat without a top rad hose on it though

Looking closely it looks like the rear quarter panels are just covers over the original body? If you look by the rear light you can see what I mean.. surely this would add weight Unless it's chopped up further on

it would probably add weight but can only think it was done for looks or aero purposes, dont like the plough but realise it has a purpose, so hot from me!

They wouldn't commit to a competition as they wheren't sure they would win first place?

That shows faith in your skills eh?
There is no such thing as cynicism, it is merely realism born out of experience.

The car looks awesome but i dont like the headlights and plain red seems a bit un-imaginative for a race car

I think that it looks spot on and fit for purpose Your right about the rad pipe though
Now, if my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious s***

its just that last year the car was painted in silver, red and black , in light of recent events they resprayed it all red to increase their chances of winning

I like it bold and red, stands out and gives a nice presence about it. Thats the best thing is everyone has different opinions and views on things

Do you reckon they've put the engine right at the back to get a better form of weight distrubution?

I guess proof will be in its times. It certainly looks purposeful, although I agree with Rich about the front lights....

You can bet your bottom Dollar on it!

There is some serious man-hours and very clever design gone into that baby. Full bracing around the strut towers, extra wheel lock cut-outs, lower engine mounts, beautiful IC piping (Titanium?) with extra short and straight paths.

Full under body Pit Jacks, custom Ti exhaust, full rear custom sub-frame, looks like equal length rear wishbones and full adjustment to boot.

    Superb workmanship in that car.

The Bodywork is definately function over form, I'd say the panels are purely over-fenders for airflow, think RE-Amemiya RX-7 and most probably CF so little or no added weight.
Cert 18 (TBC) May contain mild peril and references of a sexual nature.

Wouldn't like to imagine the amount of man hours that went into this.. but it certainly shows it in style

Don't really like it that much myself. I mean yeah the spec is excellent but i hate that front snow plough thingey and the over fenders are just a bit tackey IMO.

I've no doubt this thing will do very well in TA but i prefer the white one
