Great performance last night , i've taken an interest as i knew the lad before he signed for Arsenal as he was a regular visitor at my mates house, he was friendly with my mates daughter as they went to the local school together

To say he has potential is an under statement, Wenger reckons he has the best pace in british football , he is very quick , if he hadnt played footbal he would be competitive at athletics as i'm sure he ran a 100m in 11.5 when he was just fourteen , think he can do it in mid 10's now

I think he will be by far the most important player in British football in years to come.

I wanted him in the team last year. We should never play with Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham, and Barry in the same team ever again. Walcott and Cole offer pace and width. Something all teams fear.

Don't get me ****ing started on ****ing Setanta, bunch of ****s. I had it last year but canceled it when the football season ended. I couldn't just ring up like I did when I joined up, no, I had to send a number of letters and in the end I had no choice but to cancel my dd. I according to them I still owe them for one month because, although I asked for it to be turned off over the phone, they didn't get it in writing till a week later. I refuse to subscribe again out of principle.

The goals were shown on Setanta news, which is free, but no where else. In my opinion international games should be free. The monopoly Setanta have is a disgrace. Theres not even a highlights program on terrestrial TV for away games.

Setanta has been forced to sell the highlights of England's win to ITV. Setanta, which has the rights to all England's away qualifiers, will now face pressure too agree a same day highlights deal with the BBC or ITV for the match in Belarus on October 15th.

itv offered a figure into the 9 figure bracket or something for the highlights...setanta should be forced to give them away for nothing to all and sundry as a lesson not to be such money grabbing ****s!

and yeah, all international games, both home and away, should be free to residents of their respective contries....it's a ****ing disgrace!

but on a positive note: it's about bloody time walcott actually got into the england team after all the time he's spent on the squad roster barely making it onto the bench....poor kid was probably going off the idea of playing football all together, considering he's only just broken into his club squad!

I am having similar problems with the Muppet's @ Setanta. I fired of a letter to cancel my subscription but it still hasn't been canceled. I have also sent them emails but they fail to reply. I have now sent them an email and ask them to google "Canceling Setanta" to show them how bad their reputation has become.. I watched the goals on you tube. Walcott did look good but i hope the fans give the boy a chance when he fails to score in a few matches.
