My first Dyno results

Had my car on a Dyno after a map yesterday and although I now have to obtain a new clutch as mine is slipping at 0.85 bar boost and above. I could only get the car mapped to 0.65 bar which is producing 270.9 torque and 287.6 bhp at the wheels, not a bad first Dyno for what is in effect a pretty standard engine.

They dont like more than 300hp or so i was told , seems to be true.

I'd speak to Andy W re-clutches , my 32 GTR gave up pretty quickly , the one he fitted afterwards seems much better

Is a twin plate not a bit excessive for 300-350BHP mate? Or are you looking to the future>

Dad ran a single plate clutch with the TD06 (500+BHP) and was fine with no slip at all. and Thats with god knows how many drag launches and trackdays.. it's all about how you treat the clutch i.e. on drag launches etc.

Nice figures though, don't think you'll get more than 330BHP @ the fly. as the injectors and AFM will be maxing out.

I am still on a single pat clutch that i had off and last year and that's done well over 70 hard drag launches and two track days with 408hp @hub.

It is a exzedy R32 GTR clutch that i have and is still goin strong but for how much longer i don't know

That was an Excedy organic single plate clutch from RSP. Very slightly harder to push down that the standard one and so nice to use. I much prefer it to the twin plate that I have now.

After driving a car with a single plate and twin plate, both with similar power, if you are going to do track work, defo twin plate, for lots of daily driving as you will prob do Andy, the single plate is the way forward.

Andy is fitting me a new clutch as part of my current upgrades, single plate - didn't see the point sticking all the extra power in it for the clutch to pack up or get too stressed.

Single plate is the way forward then as I dont intend to do any track days.

Just need to save up some money, but I am hoping that Bernie may come to my rescue
