grr grrr gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

just stripped out my plugs and taken some phots as you see they are a bit covered in crap i've still got to do the compression check yet but the evidence is pretty compelling for ****ed piston rings or something else.

If it is the rings would all six go at once as you can see in the phots there all the same andd in the vid you can see the smoke.

Would be better to replace them all at one..

No need to worry until compression test is done... may be ok

i would get all six done but what i was thinking was it's usually a case of 1 or 2 pistons going at a time but all six seems a bit much to me hopefully the compression test will work out ok

Are your breathers venting ok??

any oil in the intake pipes??

seems strange to me for all 6 rings to be going and the car seems to clear up a bit , sounds great BTW.

I have a leakdown tester you can borrow if you need

Theres no oil in the pipe work which is pulling me away from the rings i had a problem a while back with the injectors and was thinking they might be causing problems again the smoke is usually on start up and if i nail it which seems more like overfueling. It was only mapped a couple of months ago with a new afm and lamba sensor in place.

laaaaa(baaa!)mda would be my bet, off the top of my head I dont know if i have any spares at home, i have a pair of GTR ones from memory somewhere although if it were the afm you would strugle to rev over 2500 rpm and if it were rings it would miss like a bitch under load

lambda sensors have a life expectancy like clutches and brake pads, it could have been twatted by a small amount of high speed crap or just been susceptable since install. Check your readings before trying to wrestle the little fekker out although if its not so old it should be straight forward

I will say though they have a tolerance on their readings so I would get the map checked for accuracy if you replace it in case its over and you run weak. Its not a huge problem as over 5000rpm its open loop anyway and just works to the map rather than feedback

That certainly looks like oil on the plugs rather than fuel by those pics

well heres the latest i done the compression test today and after consulting with andy both came to the same conclusion. My compression tester is ****ed it only measured 2bar on the gauge which is'nt enough pressure for the fuel to atomize cheers to andy for being on the end of the phone.

The next step is it's going down to checkpoint on wednesday next week to let callum do a comp and leak down test to hopefully find out what the problem is .

Did one have their throttle body open for the test?

Did they all report similar compression? if you cannae draw it in you cannot compress it
