Actually those ones are DCOE direct replacement. ie, if you have some DCOE webbers, you can get shut and replace with a set of those with inbuilt injectors, interchangeable trumpet lengths, custom fuel rail etc. GTR ones are *almost* an IDA fitment.

Active Technologies: The Mechanical Engineering Consultancy have measured up my RB26 throttles and are looking to make a set - if people are interested, they will definately make a set Click here to enlarge I put a post on GTROC as there are more GTR peeps there, Shaftless throttles for RB26DETT - GT-R Register - Official Nissan Skyline and GTR Owners Club forum

More pictures of the lovely blue throttles :-D

Video of them running on a Westfield that iirc made 27bhp more than when on twin 45mm carbs, with 38mm AT Power throttles,

I did the 5 axis CNC machining on those (I'm so proud! Click here to enlarge)

Don't suppose you do them for the V6 Duratec do you? I will be needing a set for my Jag engine (3.0) but I am 99.9% sure the pattern is the same as the 2.5 as fitted to Mondeo/Cougar

I take it you mean 3 x a twin body? for one car yeah?

I'm not sure about costs. I will speak to them on monday. I think normally they need about a 10 strong group buy before they will develop a new product, but as I have loaned them my throttle to measure, and they can measure all the other gubbins I have, it should make it alot cheaper for them. I think for a set of 3 twin bodies alone (because you wouldn't need fuel rail, trumpets etc - just possibly a linkage) is around £450. Now as the machining will be a lot simpler (no injector, or idle scews etc) Who knows? maybe cheaper? I can't speak for them of course. The guy did ask me if people would be interested in a carbon plenum as well as they might be able to get those made - imagine that Click here to enlarge

The website has a duratec DTH option, but I don't know if these fit the V6 as well?

No, that is the inline 4, I have the V6 and the inlet pattern is in 2 banks of 3 but offset.

I can ask them, but I don't think I have seen any like that around.

I'll mention it to them and maybe they can develop one Click here to enlarge

Any update on this, I am actually changing the stud config on my RB25DET Neo head to suit the RB26 intake and then having everything bolt straight on, will need some tigging and porting but hopefully it should be alright. Saw a guy on SAU doing it and I decided to give it a shot on a spare head that I picked up for $100US. We'll see how it goes.

I'd be interested to see some pictures - sounds like quite a difficult way of doing it, but when sorted should be nice. What are you going to do about the VCT solanoid? I think the easiest way is to alter the cooling elbow on the RB26 manifold.

I'm not going to do anything with this until the weather gets a bit warmer and we have daylight in the evening. Plus I need to buy a PFC, FMIC, injectors etc etc first.

The RB26 shafltess throttles will be on the way shortly, I'll update on GTROC.
    Cheers,

    John

Hmm. I don't think I would go welding the head unless it was completely heated up in an oven first and someone very good was doing the welding. Things can warp alot with welding and it doesn't take much to throw out the can journals.

Interesting non the less. At least I can see what I need to do to the water outlet pipe.
    Cheers,

    John
