S14 RB25det NEO problems

Hi,

i have some problems with my RB25det NEO swap!!!

I did the swap by my self. Only the wiring was made by a shop in the USA. (Never do this again). Ok I finished all the work, the engine was running. The engine light was on. So I read it out. I have a problem with the TCS. The R34 GTT use a traction control system (a second electric throttle, with an control unit) I canīt eliminate that engine failure.

I also have a problem with the steering. When the steering wheel is in an end position, the car goes out. The R34 GTT has an steering valve to eliminate this. Any idea??

Also the engine was running to rich (O2 senosr was broken), a few weeks ago I drive a little harder and something goes wrong.
Now I checked the radiator and I see there is not enough water in it. So I am going to check the engine compression.

1. 9,5
2. 9
3. 7
4. 8
5. 7,5
6. 5,5

So the engine is damaged. Iīm going to find out what is damaged with a pressure test.
I donīt know what to do with my engine now.

When I fix the engine, and installed it again. I still have the same problem with the TCS and the power steering.
Is it better to run a R33 RB25det? Maybe someone here know more about a RB25det NEO swap?!?

Sorry for my bad english

Does the S14 not have a pressure sensor on the steering rack?

I am not sure what the results of running with the TCS error on will give, the car may run ok?

There may be a way you could use the non-Neo ECU from a R33, someone else on here has a R34Neo engine in a R33 and may be able to advise on any wiring issues.

Hello,
Just read this thread.
I am not running the TCS and dont have any lights on. My engine loom is an R33 and R34 hybrid. With the second throttle butterfly this is connected, but i thibk comes in at 140MPH, an issue I am still working on.
If you change to a Non Neo head then this is possible, but you would loose the VVT.

You metnion the car was running rich. Have you checked the ECU pins for the O2 sensor? Sometimes in Japan this is shorted to run rich, but at high revs run normal.

Have you been on Skylines Australia? there is a thread about the engine swap

My O2 Sensor was damaged.

I want to keep the R34 head. Only the intake Mainfold is not what I want.

I try to search on Skylines Australia

Thanks

There is a thread on the GTRoc about intakes.
The GReddy and RIPS inlets have the intake at the end, to make it like the original 200 intake.

I searched in the gtroc but I found not that help. I need to know what I have to changed to fit an aftermarket plenum to the R34 RB25.

The AAC Valve does not fit. But what else?!?

What kind of fuel rail and injectors I have to use,...?

Maybe you have a link for informations or you can help?

i fitted a plazmaman plenum to my neo got it from rising sun. its only the top half so nice and easy. give me about 20 bhp and much better throttle response. it has only 500mm of pipe work instead of 2metres of pipework.

ok, do you have a picture? And do you still running the stock throttle or an aftermarket,...

How easy or hard was the installation? Can you keep the R34 AAC Valve?

i use a r33 gtst throttle body. but you can choose your spec of what throttle body you want when buying the plenum. not sure which one the aac valve is but every thing from a standard neo plenum fits on to the plazmaman plenum. try get some pics of mine.

ok thanks,

did you polish the lower section of the stock neo intake?

In a few days I get a GReddy intake from a friend to test it on the neo. I read now that the GReddy also fits to the R34 NEO head.
I think the GReddy is a little bit more work, or?

How much was the plazmann?

hmm,...
