| ongoing problem hi everyone after recently fixing an oil cooler problem(coupling at oil cooler had cracked and blown)we replaced pipes and topped up oil.but after starting engine there was what sounded like a misfire under bonnet,i"ve check compresion all between 133-140,odd noise stopped when engine warm, but searching on tickover.i took car for short drive and while trying to hold revs steady sounds like dump valve is trying to stay open,ok under acceleration(although i kept revs low bout 5000)but backfires when i take my foot off gas.i cant see any plugs off(thanks for suggestion Andy W)any ideas would be appreciated, thanks Andy D. | Lambo Door Kits Ltd. Authorized Trader | Have you removed your spark plugs and see what they look like? Usually a big give away as whether the car is over fueling underfueling or oil leaking into the cylinder. |
