    Got a Virus... Help please...

    Hi Guys,

I seem to have me some spyware virus type stuff on my machine, which I can't get rid of... Below is my desktop back ground, which I am unable to change as its locked some of my settings.. Can anyone help... pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease..... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've upgraded to the full antivir antivirus program that I have, which has removed about 4 other virus, but can't get rid of this one..

Have you searched on google for others with the same virus? I had a Blue screen virus a couple of months ago, which changed the background and removed the ability to change the wallpaper. Lots of people had the same problem and I found some good answers out there on geeky forums

First thoughts would be that it's embedded in the BIOS as you may think you've blasted it out and when you reboot it comes back ... (I had something like this a few years back and ended up with some scan programme that cleared it out , eventually).

I'll have a look on the net now

    Try this one Tim -

How to Remove WinFixer / Virtumonde / Msevents / Trojan.vundo

Similar process to what I had to do.

I had the same sort of shite ruin a laptop. had to do a wipe and re install of Xpee.

ok try this (The home of Spybot-S&D!) its a program thats free that will search spyware/adware and im almost certain it detected vitumonde on mine and cleared

once installed do an update then click on immunize and make sure there are no unprotected files, after its done then click search and destroy

    hope this helps

now im sure i read somewhere that http://avast.s0ftware-uk.com/?s=gouk...FQWc1AodbikgiQ and http://free.avg.com/ are the best free antivirus programs
