Cleaning The jets

ive tried that stuff you put the the tank before you fill up and that hasnt really worked.im sure the car is slightly being starved of petrol and not enough is getting thru cos it coughs sometimes.i was thinking its the jets/carbs but i dont know how to clean them or if they need replacing.

I would'nt of thought WD40 would do the job well enough...and may leave a residue for dust/dirt to collect on.

Carb cleaner is the best way as I think it evaporates after being sprayed on.....I think

I have loads of carb cleaner, failing that try another air flow meter.

Unfortunately it sounds like its going to be a process of elimination.

Your not going to be able to troubleshoot without spare parts and your the only person I know with an auto r32gtst otherwise you could try someone elses parts to see if we could find the problem.

Take the AFM out, clean it down and carb cleaner is where I would start.

Im not sure if I will be out next on Sunday night (cars just gone SORN and dont really want to tax is again yet) but I will bring carb cleaner to Squires next month if I dont see you before.

Fuel filters are relatively cheap, they should be changed at the very least once a year or every 10,000 miles.
