Question Bonnet stays

Trying to be clever again and it didnt work i have a carbon fiibre bonnet on the 32. when i am working under the bonnet and there is even a hint of breeze i think its going to come crashing down on my head. so the plan was,buy some kind of boot rams to hold it open like i have seen on a few other cars. so on ebay i went and picked up a cheap set of Puggy 106 boot arms. the rams are brill but really far to strong for the job i need them to do. so i was hoping that some one could help me either modify these so they are not as powerful of point me in the direction of somewhere that does the correst ones

From what i know knowbody does these for an R32 as the suspension strutts are too high up and there is no clearence for the bonnet to shut, again i think its a case of fabricating something.

remember the photographer at Santa Pod a few weeks ago trying to take pictures of your engine in that wind. What a nightmare.
