Uprated Gearbox

Hi a friend on mine has a R32 gts turbo i think? (2.5 turbo lump) it has in the region of 600 horse at the fly and is used for drifting but its keeps dropping 3rd gear which i supose it to be expected with a standard box lol

what are the options regarding uprating it im not well up on skylines yet but i do want one and am learing lol

i was thinking a straight cut syncro box might be an option but who makes them?

Thanks
Si

check the OSGiken site for a gearset. Then just get it rebuilt using their internals

Depends on budget and what you want to do with it really. HKS make sequentially transmissions that could handle 600atf, then there is PPG too. Or you could stick a GTR box in it.

Hi there we drift a good few rb25 and rb26 with 500 to 600bhp Mine own car has 500+ i find a rb25 box is fine if your not to aggressive with it. Also not to use a crazy clutch or when your clutch kicking this will not last long with 600 bhp. This is the cheapes way we sell tested boxes from £350+vat or can get useed os boxes paul

drifitng would hurt any gear box any way and uprated one designed for that type of abuse would be your best bet, if the bank allows it!!

drfiting will always kill 3rd gear on the GTSt 'box, won't be much better on a gtr box either for that matter!
