flat spot and stuttering

not all the time but every now and again when the car is around 2 - 3k the car has a strange flat spot then all of a sudden the boost comes back in, sometimes it takes a while and the car starts stuttering. i can hear the turbo spolling whn there's no boost. does anyone have any ideas. it mainly starts when i'm on uneven surface or very bumpy. i thought maybe a loose connection on coils, maybe a air mass meter problem but not really sure

Well went round to my mates on saturday and he put it on his lap top as he's got the nissan data programme, air flow is running a little high but nothing too serious, it seems my timing has had it though, on idle its jumping between 0 and 15 degrees, as soon at you touch the pedal it holds at 15, then its too advanced, at 2.5k its at 45 degrees, my mate said it should be about 25 degrees. So i think i may have a faulty crank sensor and the timing is out too

Sounds like the cas could be faulty, but bear in mind the programs used aren't checking the actual timing they're just reporting what the ecu is using from it's map.

You're better off getting a timing light hooked up and checking the timing at idle, should be 15degrees at 650rpm
