4WD light and Attessa code...

I have a problem with my 4wd system, the 4wd light has been coming on more and more recently and now its almost every journey after about 2-3 minutes, which makes it interesting in these wetter conditions

I have read and know the code, its 75 - TPS wiring or circuit, BUT..... this first came on after my clutch was changed and I didn`t top up the rear reservoir, letting the fluid go just below minimum accidently

The question, what code would/should flash up for the fluid, is this a random code and could still be fluid related with air in the system or something else, maybe even the TPS itself?

I have topped the fluid up now but still have this issue.

regards

Cliff

Also, after topping up the reservoir I disconnected the battery for 2 days to do an ECU reset, but still the same.

If you have done lots of drag launches in your skyline, have your worn out the 4wd clutch ?

Good question, I dont know the answer. Would that also throw up a TPS code too? Everything works ok when the light is out. The only thing I have to go by is the code and what happened before it came on, which was clutch and low fluid, but I dont see how the code is related?!!

No, the system hasn`t been bled since the clutch change or after the fluid was topped up. I have saved that page thanks and we`ll be on the case with that

Is it possible to throw up the TPS code for this then?

You will need to bleed the system at the gearbox for it to work again if you have had the gearbox out.
If the code remains check the codes for the engine ecu if there is no tps code there there may well be a fault between the engine ecu and the 4wd ecu.

Yeah, the gearbox came out completely. Okay, when my mate is available we`ll do the full bleed and see if that cures it

sounds like it just needs to TPS set up , they seem to "age" . If that doesnt work maybe a few mins with a Consult will tell you whats wrong.

Well, after checking voltages and even swapping a TPS from my friends R32 GTR, then back again, resetting the ecu via the wire trick on the connector block.......the 4wd light doesn`t come back on anymore!!!?? I dont know why?
God knows how we sorted it but it works!!
