The bottom one (older 1976, 5.7L)15.11.2008 AMERICA CAMARO
    1SR1
    1976
    40 000 5700
    ---
    CHROME (COLOR CHANGED)
    3 ¥100 000
    ¥499 000
    Not sold

    It didn't meet its reserve.

But lets say it did sell for 500,000 JPY

That would be approx £5,700 with all taxes/shipping paid at the UK docks, and about £6,000 on the road.

The first one sold for 31,000 JPY

Which works out 86,550 ¥ FOB

£1,610.69 Taxes paid at UK docks
approx £1,880.69 on the road price.

The top one is listed as 5000cc, not sure if that is correct though.

Surely you would not have a 6 cylinder 5 litre? I thought they would be V8's?

    You know your stuff!

I like the sound of the V6 turbo. I could never imagine the Americans using Turbochargers in the 80s! How mad is that.

You want to have a look for a GMC Typhoon then, that had a big V6 turbo in it too, was badged as the original sport truck.

As for big inline engines, although there are far bigger in trucks, how about the 5.9 straight 6 cummins diesel. Or back from the 30`s the 5.2 straight 8 buick petrol lump. Hmm, i remember someone rebuilt one of those on the kitchen table.

the GMC typhoon was based on the GMC JIMMY.and the cyclone was based on the chevy s10 pic up.the buick grand national and anniversary all shared the same 3.8 v6 turbo.the grand national GNX was the fastest of them all.but the F.B.I nicked most of them!!they only ran 13,s on the quarter and were well known for their silent burnouts.i think the GNX made the high 12,s.check them out on youtube theres a few vids there.

Saw a Cyclone the other day. Was in fantastic condition and had a decent set of 3 piece rims on it.
Always wanted a Typhoon, or even better, a Cyclone
I used to be someone around here!
Now I'm quite happy being no-one somewhere else.

    Normal services will resume....eventually.
