Nurburg Ring Trip 2009

Right, all ready to book now, deal done with hotel..

Hi All,

Well, its time to get ready for a trip to the Nurburg Ring in 2009..

This year the dates will be from Friday 3rd July until Monday 6th July.

We will be setting off a little earlier and getting on the 0600 Ferry from Dover to Dunkirk, which will allow us to get a few

laps in on the Friday evening for those who would like to do so as the track will be open 1715 until 1930.

On the Saturday, the track will be open from 1330 until 1930 giving us a bit of time to catch up on sleep.

The track is open all day on the Sunday from 0800 until 1930.

Monday morning we will take a leisurely drive back aiming to catch a late afternoon ferry, allowing you to be home in reasonable time if you are due in work on the Tuesday...

Again we will be staying at the 4* Luxury Dorint Spa in Daun, where breakfast is included (full self service buffet from Fried Breakfast

to fruit salads and everything in between). You are also free to use the Pool and Gym facilities, and for a small cost can even have a full massage.

We will have the 'Maar' Rooms again which are more akin to a small house than a hotel room to make sure your stay is more than comfortable.

On the Saturday and Sunday evening we will have a projector & Screen in a private room where we can, eat, drink, share photos and videos taken on each of the days.

Some of you may drive round the once, put a big tick in that life box and enjoy the beautiful countryside, museums, castle, local sights, then there are some of you who will stop at nothing to get as many laps in as possible, drive your car round and round the track until you are completely exhausted.. I know which side of the fence I’ll be on… Either is fine, as long as you have a great time…

After 3 days at the Ring, you will have made some great new friends, and be thoroughly exhausted with some wonderful stories to tell, along with many pictures to share. Professional photographers are plentiful at the Ring, we will find all the pictures taken of us over the weekend and send them out to you a few days after the trip…

We have managed to secure a deal with the Hotel which helps a great deal with the weakening of the Sterling over recent months, meaning the cost per person will be EUROS 420. This will include 3 nights accommodation including breakfast and your return ferry.

We have confirmed Hotel pricing and ferries.

We'll take about 120 Euro per person deposit when you can, final payment about 8 weeks before, as that when the hotel needs paying.

We normally limit the trips to about 30 people as it gets too much to cope with otherwise..

Nope, about 15 people have said they are coming, no-one paid deposit yet

can someone please inform the ring virgin on how things usually are on the way and back
i am a bit worried about the ammount of fuel it will take but sod it, i have wanted to go on one of these for years, now is the time

so add me to the list (and chilli's name coz he just about had a heartattack when i asked him to go, we will both be in my skyline)
