My Gold Skyline gone, worst day ever of owning my skyline :'(

my skyline was crashed this morning, car was at garage for cam belt and oil change went out on test drive, when was driving round a long left hand bend and an idiot coming the other way to fast in middle of road cut the corner, the guy in my car sterred to miss it back end hit a curb and spun the car into a metal fence. and other car failed to stop so police involved aswell.

thats whats been said so far, the machanic has had to go to hospital for internal injuries.

im just so gutted just want to cry think its going to be a right off

i loved this car so much

Bloody hell , I am no mechanic , but is it necessary to test drive after oil change and cambelt? You 100% sure he wasnt ragging it and lost control .

The garage must be insured for this thing, so claim through them for repairs or replacement. I really can`t see why they would need to test drive your car. Surely simply reving it would have shown up any problems.

My thought's exactly gordon, got to be a bit suspicious when its a car that people fancy giving a belt up the road, his liability insurance will be a bit dearer next year if its any consolation. you must be gutted mate.

i am really upset its happened but got to keep my chin up and move on, cant keep getting angry over it, its happened now and nothing i can do.

i had it for like 3 weeks never got to drive it properly

    Sorry to see this

I own a garage and I can tell you that there is no need whatsoever for a garage to road test your car after an oil and cambelt change:eusa_naughty:

I am afraid to say it, but looking at the damage on your car, the insurance company will almost certainly write it off

I hope you get the right payout from the garage and their insurance company.

So sorry to see this Paul, gutted for you.

I would be demanding to know why they took the car out when there is no need after the work you had done. Also, even taking the engine noise into account, they still didn't need to take the car out on the road.
I have read about people taking their cars to garages for an mot etc, left the car there all day for the work etc to be done... later in the day they been out driving in another car and have been overtaken by their own car at speed while it should be at the garage.
I hate to say it, but I think this is what has happened here.
