Do you mean just disc's or calipers to?

I personally think you'll find standard disc's with a decent set of pads will be fine for the rear. And if sticking with standard (size at least) disc's then the standard calipers will do just fine.

I'm assuming you've already treated the car to a complete brake fluid change, as many people omit that, and you'll get as many (if not worse) problems from old fluid.

I assume your R33 hasn't got anti-lock... so I'd go for some DOT 5 fluid (for some reason it's not recommended on anti-lock systems) as it's boiling point is substantially above the others.

Failing that, and I use it for all cars i drive, is nice fresh DOT 4.

Old brake fluid has a tendency to get moisture in it, creating that lovely spongy pedal feeling when it boils!!!

There is a new DOT 5.1 available, but I don't know anything about that... I feel a Google coming up!!!

    ***UPDATE***

DOT 5.1 is the anti-lock compatible DOT 5, with the highest boiling point of any fluid... so looks like that'll be my new standard fluid!!!!

The problem Dan may have Gavin is that with upgraded front calipers the bias will be out, I had this on the old 4 door when I had the Brembo F40's on the front, you are ok to brake in a straight line (which you should always do on track anyway) but things can get a little lairy if braking during cornering.

Does your car have the GTR brembos on the rear Dan or just the nissan ones?

You could also try a bias valve.
