    power steering

    hi just in need of a bit of advise. i decided to do a doughnut and then my power steering decided to stop working. i have checked the high pressure hose no splits no leaks rack and pinion all fine if **** could advise what else it could be would be very gratefull cheers

    How long did you hold it on full lock?

    hi thanks for quick response. i had on full lock between 7 to 10 seconds. i believe it is the pump aswell i will go to jap performance crawley today and replace this part i think. my fault trying to spice up the guildford cruise a little lol. thanks again

    Umm yeah, never a good thing to do. But what you do in your car is up to you. Most people perfer not to do things like that!

    Normally if you hold it on full lock it overloads the pump and burns it out.

    jst to let you know i went to japanese performance and the man said he wasnt scertain it was my pump so i left it and on the way home my power steering came back to life briefly then went then come back is any one certain what the problem could be now.
