Custom map @ RSP this Sat - what can I expect?

Getting excited now as the car goes in for a stage 1 custom map @ RSP on Saturday.

All usual pre-upgrade mods complete. Anyone had this done & if so what can I expect after the car has been re-mapped?

What 0 - 60 should I expect and how much different will the engine feel?

    Cheers

    Steve

Well it should feel quicker, have no hesitation or flat spot if you had one before and your grin will be bigger

Best guess is if you time it after your re-map

I'd have thought there are higher factors in 0-60 than a re-map. e.g. Gear changes at the peak torque point, maximum traction off the line etc

Just hoping I won’t be disappointed with the stage 1 and end up spending more !

Guess the standard coil packs will probably give out on the dyno…

The car is a lot smoother, but when I floor it the BC never registers more than .1 bar, so I'm not sure what is going on there. I've emailed RSP regarding this and am awaiting a reply.

Because the car is a lot smoother it's hard to tell if it's quicker or not. Before the mapping it used to hesitate and then take off. Now it pulls hard, but there's no kick in the pants.

Might I have a boost problem?

    Here's the dynos:

    Before

    After

Well...maybe, but there appears to be something odd with my boost. Can't figure out why I'm only getting 0.1 bar when it's floored.

I'm not sure it's any quicker - just smoother acceleration with no kick in the pants when the turbo used to cut in.

Hopefully just an issue with the BC or plumbing.

if you were getting 0.1bar of boost you'd defo notice that, as it'd seem like an non turbo. Call them up and see

It's all sorted now. Car now runs great and BC registers pressure correctly!

There was a very small split in the vacuum pipe, I had to pull the pipe back through from the ash tray were the BC is mounted and it wasn’t obvious by a visual inspection.

I blew really hard down the pipe with the other end sealed and got the other half to check my pipe length :!)

    Cheers Mule!

Did you have the custome re-map @ RSP too?

    What mods do you have?

I'm thinking now that I've got a hole through the wing where pipework to the SMIC used to run it would be nice to get some cold air in!

However, RSP said it wouldn't make much difference as the FMIC will take care of the job!
