    Talking Project 69!

I think its about time i try and make one of these project thread, although im not really planning on doing anything big(yet Click here to enlarge) and i sort of know a bit more of the skyline now, New Clutch and New timing belt fitted was done just a few weeks before i bought her(saves me loads of ££££'sClick here to enlarge). The goal at the moment is to maintain the car tip top (running wise) as i prefer the skyline to be more drivable and reliable enough as a daily driver. as i am satisfied to how the power is at the moment and the MPG that im gettingClick here to enlarge so here is the spec when i picked her up:

    Original Spec:
    Momo millenium steering wheel
    Impul front bumper
    Blitz induction kit
    Hks ssqv dump valve
    Splitfire coilpacks
    NGK 8 Iridium plugs
    Autobahn88 FMIC
Blitz Nur spec cat back exhaust
    Custom De-cat
    Trust downpipe
Excedy Ultra Fibre organic clutch kit
    Carbon front strut brace
    D2 Racing fully adjustable coilcovers
    19x8.5 Axis hiro all round
    235 front tyres
    255 rear tyres

    Current Added Spec:
    R34 GTT Turbo @ .75 bar
DW Ultimate Carbon Alloy Tension Rods
    8k HID Kits
Japspeed 13 oil cooler & Filter relocation kit
    Gizzmo IMS-II Boost controller
Gizzmo DSII Dual Stage Touch Shift Light
    Autometer 60mm oil temp/oil pressure/boost guages
    D2 8pot front brakes
01 compound performance friction front brake pads
97 compound performance friction rear brake pads
    SFS Silicone breather pipe kits
    SFS radiator hoses
    DW front tow hook

    Here's the pic as advertised:

Looks good, what front bumper is that?
There is no such thing as cynicism, it is merely realism born out of experience.

Not sure yet myself, i think i have the same bumper as on Andy Kain's gtt, but i forgot to ask him what bumper it wasClick here to enlarge

Anyway, this is what it looks like after a week or 2 of cleaning and detailing after i picked her up. quite a bit of difference, although most of the scratches did show up too once it was all polished up. on my way home after my first ever SOC meet in hampshire, i really did get the stick about the gtr badge Click here to enlarge

looking really nice. The wheels suit the car a lot. Your planned mods are steps in the right direction too.
    Enjoy it

Here are some more bit of pics a few more weeks later after my slight bump:

Quite an unfair bump, no damage on the civic at all. had to hand him over my details but never got a claim from him

After removing the front bumper, shows the extent of the damage. Bumper, reinforcer, o/s headlight and the bonnet.

Had to try and do a first aid repair to the reinforcer so i can mount the bumper and FMIC properly to get to my first Sussex/Surrey meet to pick the new reinforcer up from RR(thanks SiClick here to enlarge)

    Here's how it went:

Reinforcer and FMIC are completely out of place:

Doing the repair on the front didnt take too long. and having a play on the front grill as they are starting to fall off(even before the bump) also fitting the new reinforcer from RR and relocating a new indicator on to the front bumper as the previous owner plumbed the indicator to where the sidelight should be and just poked through the sidelight just behind the lens of the headlight.

Here it is after all ther repair was done(the reinforcer still havent been changed)

Fitting the new ReinforcerClick here to enlargehad to cut it using the Dremel as i forgot to bring the angle grinder from work Click here to enlargeClick here to enlarge also cleaned the FMIC while it was off
