    Missfire when turning

I have just fitted a replacement engine to my 1995 r33gts. Since the engine was changed the car has developed a missfire when i turn sharp corners. The car also seems to hesitate at low revs but unns perfectly after about 1500/1700 rpm. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Are you sure it's not to do with the power steering?

start with checking what you've just done, usually if a problem happens after you just changed/fitted something, its the something thats at fault

its easy to miss that multiplug, i know i have in the past, when the engine is running and stood still turning the steering should make the RPM increase

Ihave checked today and the plug is in. The rpm does increase when the steering is turned if the car is stationery. Does any one have any other ideas? This could be nothing to do with it but the engine i bought has a knock from the bottom end. Sounds like big ends. Could this be related?

well i suggest you get it to a garage by trailer or lorry, don't run it if it is a spun shell

give Callum at Checkpoint a shout, you never know he, or one of his staff may be able to come out and take a look or transport it back

contact details are in the traders section
