Question S1 grille : is this possible?

I'm happy with my S1 slatted grille if i'm honest and from every other S1 grille i've seen there aren't any that I like enough to change to. What I DO like though is the GTR grille - but particularly the way that it extends down into the bumper.

    Here's what I have now:

Would it be possible to a) get a GTR grille to fit between the lights, and b) cut/shape the bumper to fit around the grille? Are GTR lights further apart as well as further forward?

I'm thinking that cutting along the front of the bumper and putting step in it may make it too weak as it attaches to the bumper bar just there.

Anyway, if the grille just won't fit anyway then it's a non starter..

You can get a GTR grill for a GTST, not sure if it fits a spec 1 though or 2.

I've seen them and they just don't do it for me as they sit flush with the bumper.

Not trying to make my car look like it's a GTR but the GTR grille is the best look i've seen.

I may just have to get busy with the dremel and fibreglass on my grille Click here to enlarge

    Skyline Mk2

If you scroll down the pics on post 55 you will see that I have a GTR grill on mine. I've removed the GTR badge completely and removed the lip from the bottom of the grill that would slot into the bumper and it fits just fine.

i've got a gtr style front bumper(on my GTST) but i still think the spec 1 slatted grill looks best- still its all a matter of personnal preference.

I think it was Andy Kain had a bunch of them a while back, in fact, for some reason i suspect the ebay seller may be him
