    Hello, Please solve my dilemma.

    Hello all,

    I really need your help.

I have saved for some time to be in the position to buy my first Skyline. I have 11k to spend.

Now the dilemma I am facing is this. Should I go for a 34GTT or a 33GTR?

I just cannot make up my mind. Anyone owned both?

The 15 year old car v the 10ish year old car is my main thinking including how dated the 33 looks inside.

I am Matt by the way and would like to hear your thoughts and advice on this problem of mine.

    Cheers.

hi and welcome, i think the best thing is to drive them both and see what you like. i have had a gtst and now own the gtt, i prefer the r34 personally and stock it is about 280bhp, so its pretty good. it also comes down to if you like 4 wheel drive or rear wheel drive!!!

Hi Matt, welcome to the forum, I personally own an R33 GTST so can`t really comment on the two models you are asking about. The GTR obviously has 4wd and a twin turbo engine but weighs more. The GTT which I happen to want next, has RWD and single turbo and weighs less than the GTR as far as I know. Best bet is to have a go in both and see which you like best.

Well I would say thats 3 to 0 on the 34's side.

Totally agree with your test drive comments though.

Its going to be a busy month.

    Cheers.

As already said, test drive both and decide what YOU like driving more,I had a R32 GTR at the same time as I had my GTT,had to make the same decision as running 2 skylines can be very expensive, the GTT won as in my opinion its more driver friendly as I use it everyday and the GTR is now in Sweden. Either way with 11k to spend you will be able to find a very nice car, good luck with the search

I bought an R34 GTT purely on looks alone, My personal opinion is that the 34 looks better.

Dont get me wrong, the 33 looks good and it dont matter which one you have everyone else knows its a Skyline

Heres something I have been looking at but I dont think I can get the funds in 8 days

1999 skyline r34 gtt on eBay (end time 10-Jul-09 10:39:06 BST)

Have fun looking, but the best advice is to try both and not to fall in love with the first one you get in.

I would think wichever one you get first wont matter as its a Skyline, you are more or less guaranteed to like it anyway, the choice between a gtr and a gtt is more like a driving preference, but as everyone said, test drive as much as you can, and with 11K in your pocket, you can afford to be picky as im sure you can get something wich is in V good condition and fairly reasonable mod.

a simple rule of thumb, testdrive testdrive testdrive

Personally I love my GTT and it would take a very special 33 GTR to change my mind in owning one. Nice position to be in though GTR or GTT AND have the money to buy either. Good luck in your search
Now, if my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious s***

Looks like a scam to me - pretty sure those pics have been pinched from Newera's website.
