    Project R35 GTR

Went for a test drive of the new GTR with Sam a couple of weeks ago, ordered it the next week and took delivery the week after

Currently running it in then it will be dyno'd to find out the bhp then remapped by Sam to see what results we can get. It's a UK car.

I like the red trim on the seats and door handles, very nice indeed
Now, if my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious s***

It should be fun, but it ain't no RB26 in terms of tuning, the block and pistons are possibly going to be an issue above 600bhp (ignore American whp figures they don't compare).

Like the new Evo X engine that's been done... it won't be hard to find its current limits.

I'd like to say I'm utterley jealous Calum.... and so I will

    I'm jealous!

Will you be selling tickets for passenger rides?

    Good luck with the tuning.

    Wee update

Well after hours of datalogging and testing working out what this ecu is trying to do we have had some good results

We now have the fastest quarter mile terminal speed in Europe

    And with the least mods!

All we have replaced is the Y pipe which has the secondary cats in it, our car still has the full standard exhaust system, down pipes, front cats and air filter!

Sam has optimized the cars std maps and he is only running 1.1bar in the mid range and 1 bar at the top end.

The next highest terminal speed cars have full performance exhausts with no cats at all, uprated intercoolers and pipe work, uprated actuators, performance air filters etc. And are using 1.4 bar boost.

We can't even get a decent launch due to Crails super slippy surface and our car has the new 2500rpm launch control which does nothing for a 1700kg car.
We are loosing 2 tenths to the others on the 60ft which equates to 4 tenths at the finish which makes the times comparable if we had grip.

    More to come......

No way to 'reflash' the launch control to allow higher revs?
