Just how far are you taking it down the drag path? It's not just about power but a lot of it is down to the launch. What's the point in quadruple figures or even very high triple figures if your car is just going to sit there and piss it all away?

Your going to need to have a serious look at the chassis which in turn if taken too far could render the car virtually useless on the road.
There is no such thing as cynicism, it is merely realism born out of experience.

I would think to get consistent 10's, you are looking at 700+ bhp and rear suspension set up for drag racing, together with uprated drive shafts, drag wheels and tyres etc. and a lot of practice with perfecting your launches.

Well it might be worth giving this guy an email

    http://www.2rismoracing.com/

Adrian has run mid 11's on 400hp , stock RB25 , stock turbo with 100hp of nitrous

One of the big problems with the R33 is the design of the rear suspension , great for road or circuit use but squats and the wheels tuck in when launched hard plus the whole lot is weak and not ideal for use with slicks (essential imo)

If i was to build a drag R33 i would fit a conventional Ford 9" rear end and a LS1 engine/box but i think you could get high 10's low 11's with a 500-550hp RB25 if the car was light enough and built for drag racing.

Probably worth going for a decent gearbox as well like Adrian did
    Now drives an Evo 6

    No more 11's
