According to Japfest it is due to lack of demand.

I have been in touch with the circuit to see how much it would cost to hire the circuit for half a day to see if it could be viable. If you could get 45 cars at approx £75 each I think the circuit would do a deal if the track was free that day. Unfortunately it is currently reserved for a private car manufacturer. They are going to confirm or otherwise in the next couple of weeks. The circuit have promised to get back to me.

If it becomes free my thoughts were:-
Hire circuit for 3 hours from 1pm to 4pm. Each hour split into 3 x 15min sessions (5min changeover between sessions). 45 cars split into 3 groups so max 15 cars on track any one time - each group gets 1 x 15min session per hour. Cost per car approx £75. Equivalent to £25 per session whereas it is £35 per session on show day and 20 cars per group.

It is a bit of a long shot but what do you think? Could we get 45 cars with other clubs/forums?
