Hants meet Meon Hut February 7th 2010

For this February Monthly meet, something a little different As some may know the Meon Hut Venue is used by a lot of car Clubs. And as well as SOC it is a regular venue for HJC(Hampshire Jap Club). Some may remember the very successful Summer meet they had there with I believe over 100 fine examples of Japanese automotive machinery.
Well basically HJC Photo Challenge meet was postponed in January because of the snow and general bad driving conditions. It has now been rearranged for February, which incidentally is the first Sunday of the month and consequently coincides with SOC Hants meet.

I have been in touch with the Guys at HJC and rather than what would appear Gatecrashing there event, we have kindly been invited to participate in what they have organised. Details are below as posted on HJC.

This looks fantastic and something more than just standing around tyre kicking.

I have been asked to supply numbers attending as soon as possible so there events organiser can pre warn the venues management of how many to expect. So in the usual manner Copy and paste ONLY if you are sure you will be there

As we all know, last months meet got called off due to pretty bad weather, so we are re-running it this month on Sunday 7th February.

So Lets make up for last months and get this year finally rolling, the start of many big things

So whats different I hear you ask. Its a Photo Challenge. What this involves is getting you all out into the public. There will be a list of pictures you will need to take, each picture will be worth a certain amount of points and you guessed it, the team with the most points wins.
You will be required to get into 2's or 3's and will be supplied with the series of pictures you need to get on the day (this is to keep it a level playing field). The pictures needed will consist of objects, locations, or a general challenge. So Remember... BRING A CAMERA OR CAMERA PHONE!!! Please have one with a screen size visible or decent quality phone.

We will be meeting at 9 O'clock at West Meon Hut.

They do a fantastic breakfast for only £4.95 from 9AM, so feel free to join us and socialise for this. Please state if you intend to come for this so I can give West Meon Hut some rough numbers.
We will then hopefully have everyone ready for the fun to begin at 10:15AM. You will have about 2 hours for the challenge and we will then meet back at West Meon Hut to get everyones score (proof of pics needed) and announce the winning team. They do fantastic lunch time meals there aswell, and have a 2 for 1 offer, so its the perfect chance to grab a meal .

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING A CAMERA OR CAMERA PHONE BETWEEN YOUR PAIR (a map or satnav may be a good idea once off roaming about)
