    Clutch - When Do You Need to Change It - PAD Depth

    I want to start a thread so that if people do take apart their engine they can have somewhere to look up information on how much meat is minimum.

    It is a question I am looking at having answered and thought it would be good for us to have something in situ on here as no where else has it.

    Other than Heat and damage to clutch which may be other contributing factors.

    I will kick some things off ;

    Happy to have Standard / HKS / Exeddy + Others

    All measurements to be made, face to face using a Micrometer or known values please.

    I will maintain this thread as it rolls.

    Can someone either give me access or move it into my area......

    First value is when new, second is minimum value recommended.

    doesn't really work, i've seen many multiplate clutch's where the 'pads' still have plenty of material left but the plate is buckled or cupped

    I found the details of mine on the Exedy website, it gave me a good idea of how much life I had used and how much life was left. If your killing off multiplate clutches with heat damage or the like then either your not driving it correctly or you have the wrong application for the intended use.
