    R33 GTS-T Glow Dials

Eventually got round to fitting my glow dials today that I’ve had lying around for the last 12 months or so but colours are a mixture of green and blue not blue or green as should be selectable by the switch.

All switch does is make the dials brighter or dimmer when you (supposedly) switch between green and blue. The bright/dimmer fader works fine.

The only reason I can see that this would happen is if the switch was wired incorrectly when assembled.

Each dial gets power from one lead (from the transformer) with plugs wired in parallel so the order of connection shouldn't make any difference and the colour coding on the cables matched for every plug and socket.

Anyone else had the same issue?

BTW: in the pic the colours look OK but in the flesh they look hideous!

    Cheers

    Steve

Yeah mate i fitted these at the hants pagaent last season. i get the same thing doesent really switch colours as-such. to be honest i wouldnt really use the green. Just thought the white dials and diff colours would be cool enough. And they are for me. did you find a way to show the colours properly?

Not yet (mine are the Nismods ones).

There are 6 wires on the back of the switch:

    Green Black Yellow
    White Blue Orange

I'm wondering if this switch has been wired incorrectly...

I just fitted mine and it works fine, the "on/off" switch changes between colours on the one I got. Mine is from visual performance. IMG_0476.JPG

i had mine fitted, as i have no clue how to even get the clock out let alone wire it up. man am i regretting that decision!
All the needles are out and don't light up, the rev's are sluggish and ALL gauges are now inaccurate!
As my car is down at SP getting its spring cleanout, it was suggested to me that i replace the whole clockset for the standard ones.
So i am slightly disappointed with the fact that i have to do that as i really liked the blue dials.
are other peoples clocks working ok? if so...
Is the suposed vehicle electronics 'expert' that i got to fit my clock just that crap? should he stick to sound systems? lol
    You gotta love the skyline

I did it all myself up to the point of having the wires connected to the dials loom, a (auto electrician) mate of mine did the wires in 2min... it was well easy to get it fitted as I watched him do it. Plus mine works great.
