Ridiculous idea... but god it'll be quick

right basically i had a skoda felicia in the past and the police in there infinite coffee break decided to do some work which unfortunately for me ended up in a lot of trouble. therefore i got lots of time, a lil bit of money and nothing to do with it.

sooo basically what i wanna do is find some of this...

then find a replacement of one of these

now you might wonder why put this on a skyline forum... well all shall become clear.

next in my master plan i need one of these

now i give this and a little bit of my hard earned cash to these nice people

then i put it all together, do some bodywork and paint, of course a hell of a lot of reinforcements, and what do i have?

i have up to and including 1000 bhp in a 4WD car that ways about as much as a fiesta.

and the bonet of a felicia can easily fit the 34's s6 lump. though i don't know if i can have it in the rear wheel position. if not thats annoying, but ill live.

and yes i do realise the amount of work needed, the facat ill need custom performance shocks and springs all round because the standard skoda rolls like a boat, and that ill need to reinforce the chasis, and fabricate new engine mounts, and put a custom, shortened prop on a brand ne reinforced running gear layout, and ver shorter driveshafts

but the real question is, is 3 years gonna be long enough.

even more to the point will it be worth it?

oh also anyone who says its ruining a good lump by putting it in a skoda, i will find you and i will stab you in the throat

aaah as if i didn't see this coming. so why do you think im young? because i haven't given up on life and just gone with what the manufacturer gives me? or just because ive decided to do things properly? you see i have nothing that i actually want, other than a car that can rip your face off.

so what else do i spend my money on? ive spoken to top secret, for one of there lumps its 30k usd, but just to do the timing ecu etc, should be miniscule. then i can get local companies to upgrade anything else fairly cheap. fitting the engine won't be a problem, i have many friends who actually have qualifications to say there good, not just spend there time pulling fiestas apart.

then the only thign is fabrication... oh wait, im a fully qualified welder and fabricator... well that looks like me about set

oh and yes i know how much hard work it is... try doing a conversion on a 1.4 volvo 340 to a 1.4t renault 5 lump.. you think its simple then you find out its like chalk and cheese

Thumbs up I wouldn't say rediculous

Ooh sounds like a plan, i'll be watching this project keenly. I'm confused about the first picture though...why do you need some farm land? Is it going to be a rally car? Or do you need some blue-sky thinking?

I reckon if you've got the money to even do this, let alone get the guys over at TS involved, then yeah 3 years is plenty, especially as you can do the fabricating yourself. Like you say, fitting the engine won't be a problem and with some chassis mods and new suspension etc. it'll all go together fine.

Make sure to keep us updated with pictures as this could be an inspiration to everyone wanting to do RB26-into-hatchback conversions. Even a leader in the field, who knows. We need more pioneers like you who just aren't happy to take their £60K+ down to Nissan but want to push the limits of what's possible and make something truly amazing.

    Good luck!

    Would be entertaining to see.

I remember there being a yellow Skoda in Littlehampton a few years ago where the owner had shoved in sierra cosworth engine. Looked like a rust bucket on wheels but was a very quick car.

I'm all for innovation but this is nonsense , i'm a Skoda fan myself (we have 2 ) but the Felicia is not a good example re-POS but if you want to spend £60-£70k on a Skoda , go ahead
    Now drives an Evo 6

I've thought about sticking an rb lump in a smaller car...
I remember a redline mag years ago that had a pug 306 with a cossie engine dumped ontop the rear axle.
    A 500 odd BHP RWD pug 306

If you got the money and the means then by all rights do what you will am keen to see the results!
allthough those old felicias are a bit rickety by now i'm sure there are other models that would be more... aerodynamic!

just be aware that owning a fun & powerful car doesn't mean you know how to drive it well!

yeah its a mall car and it is old, but its not a fiesta like most idiots want, and the engine bay is enough to sleep 3 people, making it ideal

    still, we shall see.

and if you think it "fails" lets see your opinion when i take it to a track

Hi Danny Boy, welcome to the forum by the way. You will find most people on here are friendly, helpful and more than capable of handing out decent advice. Might be an idea to introduce yourself to the group and share with us any previous projects you have undertaken, specs, pictures etcetera, that way you may get a more measured response.

Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did

a bit of a late intro

okay sorry, im not really a forum guy tbh.

yes i am young, but not stupid. ive done work on several cars, including my own, but i just maintainted mine, because i wasn't always legal (i did try oto be tho), so i didnt wanna draw attention to myself.

ive done loads of services, worked on a few drift rat sierra's, a volvo 340 drift project that i mentioned before, thats now for sale btw anyone who wants a cheap drifter that only needs a custom clutch (flywheel from the old volvo lump fits but the clutch wont sit with it, and the renault flywheel wont fit in the bell housing properly, its wierd) and most recently ive been helping a friend knock his gearbox into place because he destroyed the mounts and it keeps shifting so only a few gears will engage. thats a 250 bhp+ saab 9000. need to put it on a rolling road, but its outrun everything its been up against, including a scooby intercepter

practically, ive pulled apart most parts a car has, but ive never really done the theory behind it.

and yes there a bit old but if you slam a felicia, and put a nuke like the rb26 in it it'll be imense.

i had the idea when i first opened my bonet and climbed into the engine bay. the only issue i see is the gearbox running through the bulkhead, but if its a track car i wont care.

heres the saab, stripped, 2 bucket seats and thats as much luxury as it has

the volvo (if you look im actually reaching into it lol)

and i have no decent pictures of my car because, well i didn't see the point

erm thats about it really. and i know its silly thinking, im young blah blah blah, but im currently doing welding and fabrication in college, ill be doing a lvl 3 nvq, which is useful of course, and ill be moving on to i.t after that, which as you may know pays bloody good money. also i can use that to go into e.c.u mapping which is even better money

and what do you buy when you have nothing to pay for? other than a pittance on my rent?

something stupid, fast, and that you make yourself, thats what

and bubble i really didn't appreciate the comments as you can tell, there was no need to be rude.

i coulda said (i think it was you who made the thread) that pulling your gtt apart was stupid and your an idiot for not getin a gtr and saving the time etc. yes im stupid for what i wanna do but it'll pass the time and it'll be worth it, even if i only take the thing to arena essex every now and then

the difference is, this should be in a whole different league to skylines, due to the weight. youve just turned a gtt into a gtr, at a greater cost

    Right.

I based my post on this thread by summing you up with regard to your first two posts on this forum:

    my old rover

Neil put up a thread about his lovely old Rover and you posted this:

After reading those childish and lets face it rude and hurtfull comments to the owners of the cars, plus your ridiculous thread here, I came to the conclusion that you were an imature and childish idiot. So for you to call me rude is pot and kettle in my book.

I have not tried to turn my GTT into a GTR and I have not pulled it apart as you wrongly state. It will however repeatedly outpace Porsche GT3's, R32GTR's, R33GTR's, R34GTR's and even give the new R35 GTR a good run for it's money on both wet and dry tracks.

When you have buit your 1000hp trackday weapon, I will woop your arse on any track that you choose and I will do that with my boost controller turned off.

If you would like me to remove your two posts that I have quoted above, I will do so and clean this thread up and look forward to seeing your project unfold.
