Cool !!!SHARKEY THE SKYLINE!!! Picture heavy..

Hi all and wlecome to my progress thread, I was going to wait till the car is fully finished but thought to myself since there is alo of pictures ive decided to get most of them out hte way now if i dont it will take me a day to do this hahaha.

The story goes like this. originaly the car was stock with minimal mods and at the time was owned by my brother, he then put a body kit on it, different alloys, sprayed dash steering wheel. the work on the car (bodywork wise) started to show wear, bubbling up etc etc. He then purchased a new car (s2000) the skyline was sat in the driveway for around 6 months doing naff all. some words were shared and the skyline became mine. since then alot items have been purchased and its having a transformation done to it by local based bodyshop Pauls body shop (PBS) based in Hedon.

Here is the current spec list of the car

This album consists of the recreation of my R33 Nissan skyline GTS-T.

the work you see been carried out is by Pauls Bodyshop in Hedon and its still going on as I type this to you now.
Car is confirmed to be back with me in August 2010

the 400R arches & side skirts where held on by wood screws LMAO and it seems my brother and his mate did a SHITE job of it! I dint even know that it was done this way. the amount of Filler that has been used is stupid Paul (one of the guys working on the car) said 'im a car modifier not a sculpturist' tild me to give my brother a black eye when I got home haha! they have found some rust which will be angle grinded away and will be painted with some rust protection stuff. all the arches and side skirts will be moulded on CORRECTLY. and he puta suggestion to me about delocking the door and boot whilst its at this stage.

    here are some pics

moulding of door sills and side skirt

Drilling bonding under sealing and rivating (spl?) the metal protection plate onto the side skirt.

Picture of how the car is shaping up from a distance.

ignore the rust that will all be cleaned away and under sealed .

since you all know my cars called SHARKEY i decided to get an emblem for it to add some class and originality.

personally i think it follows my own characteristics, cheeky smile all the time hahaha.

inner doors, light surrounds, petrol cap and door handles sprayed.
there not finished yet as they need to be flatternd down (to remove any form of dust in the laquer) and then polished up

EDIT: door handles are not yet finished as the flap bit handle itself will be sprayed white.

here are the main door shuts prepped up and ready for spray.

    door shuts now sprayed up

smal bits of white are not dust they are polish

evidence all wires are masked up and every bit of the door shuts are sprayed including brackets

VIDEO ignore the music in the background I dont choose the radiostation haha

grill, roof spoiler & inner boot sprayed.

also car now undersealed wheels added and was moved next door into there storage garage.

photo of wheels fitted car look alot darker here due to its in the storage garage which has no windows (so of course no sunlight lol) only visible light showing is from the small gap I used to squize through on the sliding garage door.

Calipers il be doing at home okies lol. either Yellow or black. either way I will be then wet sanding the nissan logo down so it polishes up

    Carbon door sills

Carbon fibre winglets to be placed on rear of side skirts near the back wheels ....these will help channel the air from getting caught in the rear wheel arches and might fit to front bumper instead
