    Shock advice

I was looking to purchase some up rated shocks for my R33 GTS-T. I wanted something a little harder but not too hard.

To cut a long story short, my supplier (who is well respected) sent me a pair of KYB Part No: 341222 rear shocks (with variable damping) and a pair of R34 GTT UNISIA JECS Part No: 56110AA101 front shocks (no variable damping).

My gut feeling is that a matched set would be better, but my supplier is unable to provide a matching set and states: “In our opinion, formed by careful research and testing, these fronts and rears are a good handling package.”

Without fitting and trying them I have no way of knowing whether this statement is true or not. And if I fit them gone are my chances of a refund.

Anyone got any experience of this setup?

    Cheers…

Personally, I would rather sell a matched example (at least a pair from the rear or pair from the front), due to even wear on the units theoretically.

There are people more versed on this than I, but always like to add my 10p worth

I agree with Moff, if you paid for a set of shocks for your car they should be a matching one, not "oh we have some spare lets make up a set".
